Golden Opportunities Partnerships, Inc. (GoldenOpps) has a need for the following:

    • 8-10 Mentors
    • 4-5 Board Members

    Time Commitments for Mentors

    • 2 hours per week (meet 1:1 with mentees/prep time), meet in public places (coffee shops) / The Salvation Army ARC
    • 1 year commitment for mentee to complete Golden Opps mentoring program
    • 1-2 hours of mentoring training, 1.5 hours periodic mentor peer meetings every few months

    For Mentors

    • Has anyone mentored you in the past? If so, how did that make you feel? How did it impact your life and/or work? Would you please prayerfully consider mentoring a man, so he can have a similar experience?
    • We take a holistic approach by having our mentees work with their mentor to complete the “12 Seeds of Successful Relationships” book over 12 weeks with scripture, personal reflection questions and actions to take.
    • We help the mentees to find a job, housing, a good Bible believing church, join small Bible study, develop a budget and build positive relationships with others (make amends with family members, etc).
    • We encourage the mentees to seek consistency in daily living by reporting to work on time, doing their best at work, stay sober, live within their budget and stay away from negative situations and people, etc.
    • You will have the opportunity to pour into another man and help him grow spiritually by placing their trust in the Lord in all life situations vs. turning back to their old behaviors of dealing with life situations that leads to pain and suffering.
    • Prepare the mentees for becoming self-sufficient by reviewing key learnings from the “12 Seeds of Successful Relationships,” and prepare them for Golden Opps Annual Recognition Dinner speech.
