Our History

GoldenOpps was launched in early 2021 with The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Milwaukee, WI. We mentored 3 men that graduated from The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center program and 2 of them received jobs at McDonalds.

In December 2021, we created a non-profit entity 501(c)(3) called Golden Opportunities Partnerships (GoldenOpps), Inc. in Milwaukee, WI with a board of directors. GoldenOpps is Transforming Lives through Christ.

We provide men with an opportunity to transition into successful life through GoldenOpps’ structured program that includes spiritual mentoring, career opportunities with our employment partners, life skills training, core living support and accountability.

Golden Opportunities Partnerships, Inc. in Milwaukee is modeled after the successful Golden Opps Partnership that was created in Minneapolis, MN back in 2007 with The Salvation Army, McDonald’s and The Mentor Corps that had a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes. Some of the results that were achieved include: 3 men successfully completed McDonald’s training program and were promoted to managers, saved $15,000 in labor cost for the McDonald’s owner/operator during a 9-month trial period. However, the most impactful part The Golden Opps Partnership was the life transformation these men experienced through their faith in Jesus Christ.

The Golden Opportunity Partnership was recognized with the Minnesota’s Governor’s Council on 2008 Faith and Community Service Initiatives Best Practice Award.
